Obedience – compliance with an order, request, or submission to another’s authority. I’m obsessed with my wife. I claimed her, I married her, and now she belongs to me in every way; but I’ve never been more scared of losing her. I’m Sebastian Lockwood; a king among men. And kings get what they want. But Starling has become a true queen. And queens get to play by their own rules. She’s proved beyond doubt that she’s strong, capable, and every bit as much of a psycho as I am. My little bird isn’t broken anymore. The bars of her cage have burst open, and I don’t know how to close them again, or if trying to will make me lose her forever. But when betrayal slips into our world, we’re forced to learn how to stand as one, or watch our marriage crumble and burn. Control, obedience, freedom, and everything in-between, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her. Because she always has, and always will be, my obsession.
