The White West Indians are met with racial prejudice due to their white colour but strive to overcome. Forward to the cusp of the millennium and White West Indian female Devon Clayton lands a job as a teacher at Manchester House school Whitmoreans Wolverhampton and where amid predominantly Afro-Caribbean prejudice and suspicion Devon embarks on illicit bisexual affairs and learns to gain racial respect before lustful rape on school leavers day.
