Across the Wall

With Nicholas Sayre and the Creature in the Case, Garth Nix continues to explore the world of his best-selling Abhorsen trilogy. Six months after the end of Abhorsen, Nicholas is desperate to return to the Old Kingdom, but first he must faces an strange and powerful obstacle in Ancelstierre that is not entirely human. This never-before-published novella is only the beginning of the short story collection, which also includes two tales about Merlin (and youd better believe these are not in the Arthurian canon!), a heartwrenching tale of two young brothers caught up in a war, an eerie, gritty urban take on Hansel and Gretel, and Garths take on the classic western.
