On an archeological dig in the Yucatan, Raven finds a small statue of Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec god of blood and death. The spirit of the god enters Raven, and forces her to set up a shrine in her apartment and gather blood for him. At first this comes from blood banks, but the god demands blood from live victims. Able to morph into a black panther, Raven begins hunting, placing the blood she gathers in the chacmool in the shrine for the god to ingest.
