Final Year Travels

The story of the last year at university, a mixture of studying, paid work and side hustles. After finals, it was time to explore and plan a trip around Europe.This is the story of a month-long trip criss crossing western and southern Europe by railway. There are visits to more than a dozen countries and capitals, to castles and cathedrals, to mosques and museums on a voyage through dramatic scenery, history, culture and cuisines. There are other gems such as Venice, Corsica and a visit to Bran Castle in Romania, with its link to Dracula.Towards the end of the month was the last leg of the trip from Budapest in Hungary with its many tourist sights and culinary delights south to Belgrade, Thessaloniki and finally to a rendezvous in Athens.
