Trading Up

Janey Wilcox is a lingerie model whose reach often exceeds her grasp. A stunningly beautiful woman who never gets quite enough, Janey is searching for what most women want: respect, true love, and happiness. The only snag: she also desires money, power, and fame, and wont stop till she obtains them. As she connives her way up the New York social ladder, we follow Janeys adventures in her glamorous new life, filled with $100,000 cars, hunky polo players and media moguls, Fifth Avenue apartments, and relationships with hidden agendas detectable only by the socially astute. But as Janey enters this world of too much money and too few morals, her past reappears forcing her to reexamine her values and decide how far shes really willing to go to realize her dreams. With a brilliant comic voice, Candace Bushnell returns with a sharply observant comedy of manners.
