How does a swap work?

Go to the page of a book you like and click "Make Swap Offer." Select a book from your library to offer, and you can add a short message. If the other party accepts, the swap begins and you share shipping details through the platform.

Is bookswapp free?

Yes, bookswapp is completely free for its core features. There is no charge to create an account, list books, or send swap offers. Shipping costs are left to the agreement of the parties.

Who pays for shipping?

Shipping costs are freely determined between users. The common practice is for each side to cover their own shipment, but you can arrange it differently. Mutual shipment makes the swap process fair and balanced.

How is book condition determined?

When adding a book you choose one of four condition options: Like New, Good, Fair, or Worn. This information is shown to the other party in swap offers.

How do I add a book by ISBN?

In the mobile app, point the camera at the barcode; the ISBN is read automatically and book details (title, author, cover, publisher) appear instantly. In the web browser you can also enter the ISBN number manually.

How do I report a user?

Use the "Report" option on the user's profile page. Our team will review it within 24 hours.

Can a swap be cancelled?

A swap can be cancelled before the package is delivered. After mutual agreement, cancellation can be done by either party. Accounts that cancel frequently will receive warnings.

How long are my books listed?

Your books stay active until you mark them as "not available for swap." You can hide or remove a book from the list at any time.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your books and swap history will be permanently deleted.
